Written Android App Review
It’s never been easier to find local medical professionals and book appointments now that the ZocDoc Android app has hit the market.
I will admit to having a healthy amount of skepticism about the ZocDoc app when I heard about it. Booking a visit to the doctor on my Android? Really?
But in the digital age everything is getting easier, even finding a doctor. So, fellow skeptics and hopefuls alike, pay attention to my Android app review of ZocDoc and prepare to be amazed.
The ZocDoc Android app interfaces with doctors, providing pertinent information, especially involving appointment making. You can find local health care providers just by tapping a button.
I didn’t think ZocDoc would delivery, but I was happily surprised. One simple search of an area where this app is functional changed my tune.
Select the type of doctor you are looking for, the general reason you are looking for one, the day you would like to go and even your insurance information then tap the search button. Area professionals that fit your criteria will appear shortly, with pictures, practice information and even user reviews.
Tap on an available appointment to lock down your plans. It’s that easy. I was definitely impressed with this app’s original idea and stand up performance. A few extra features might make it even better. The app could use a search functionality so you can look for specific doctors and font size options, or a pinch to zoom feature on the text.
I think the ZocDoc Android app will revolutionize the way we plan trips to the doctor, and be an invaluable asset to travelers, people who move to new areas, and even help resolve non-emergency medical issues faster.
There’s really something special about an application that delivers an invaluable service to the public. ZocDoc is one of those apps.
Layout & Design
A simple expandable menu design makes ZocDoc Android app easy to use. Filling in your preferences and insurance information is a breeze. A built in mapping feature allows you to search by location, or even use your Android’s GPS to plan your visit to the doctor.
In short, ZocDoc Apps hit a home run by creating this simple, effective health care search and book app.
I recommend that everyone who can use ZocDoc get the app and let it live on your Android. You never know when this app might come in handy, and it’s better to be prepared.
It is slightly frustrating that the ZocDoc Android app is only currently functional in certain areas, limiting its appeal. If you live in New York City, Phoenix, Chicago, Washington DC, San Francisco, Dallas, Los Angeles, Houston, Philadelphia or Atlanta this app will connect you to all the information I mentioned above.
If you live in an area without coverage, ZocDoc may still have basic provider profiles and contact information, however that is not the case where I live. I hope the ZocDoc Android app’s success helps it grow to cover more areas soon. I’ll leave it on my favorite Android device, just in case.
