Ring Butler, released by Happy Pursuits LLC, allows users to adjust their Android phone’s ringer settings based on a multitude of parameters. Serving a variety of purposes with settings that cover a wide swath of situations, the app is ideal for anyone who would like to have more control over received phone calls.
Happy Pursuits LLC recently updated Ring Butler to version 3.0. This update, released on May 5, added a variety of new features and settings to the app. This includes a quick on and off switch that can be accessed via widget and within the app, making it easy to quickly enable or disable Ring Butler’s functionality. Also, users can now rename saved locations.
By creating individual profiles based on date and time, location, caller, and even application, Ring Butler gives users total control over their phone’s ringer settings. Depending on what you want to achieve, you can choose to make your phone ring, vibrate, or remain silent and send calls straight to voicemail.
Users who are interested in being able to create profiles based on location should know that this feature is not limited to your device’s GPS. It’s possible to set your location to correlate with a wireless network and a Bluetooth receiver.
Ring Butler also allows profiles to be created for individual contacts, which is ideal for those who find themselves being disturbed by unwanted calls at inopportune times. This setting is also ideal for calls that you want to make sure you don’t miss from people who are important.
For those who don’t want to be disturbed while playing games on their Android device, Ring Butler allows users to individually select apps that will mute calls when open. A feature like this is useful for anyone who doesn’t want to be interrupted while playing a game or while working.
Ring Butler requires Android 2.2 and up. The app comes with a 10 day free trial for new users.
