Android Game Review by AndroidAppsReview.com
Life is one big chain of complicated events. And somewhere in the middle of all that hubbub, you’re just an Android-using so-and-so with a need to keep everything straight.
NearNotes is an incredibly useful note-taking app that makes it tidy and succinct to attach locations to any note imaginable.
No matter if it’s important DMV information, a grocery list, or a reminder water the plants.
NearNotes is a great little utility, and if your interest has been piqued, scroll on down below the break for a full look at what it has to offer.
Concept and Functionality
The basic idea behind NearNotes can, in fact, be boiled down to one concept: What if you could add notes to any location you frequent?
Let’s say, for instance, you want to remember what to get at the grocery store. Just boot up NearNotes, add a location of interest to a new note, and then fill-in the details. What happens next is downright awesome:
Drive to the store, get out of the car, open the app, and immediately you’ll be served the note closest to you. That means all you have to do is start shopping, and NearNotes will take care of the rest.
It’s a unique and pain-free way to stay on track. If you’re like us, you probably miss the mark a lot when it comes to errands. In fact, we’d say we leave about 60% of them undone all the time. Something like NearNotes is just about the perfect way to ensure we’re focused and on-point.
The possibilities are just about endless here, too. Add information about your child’s grades to a note, then head to that parent teacher meeting. Or add flight information to a note, then head to the airport. There’s just no limit to how NearNotes can improve your life, and that’s quite a boon.
Design and Interface
We can’t help but notice that NearNotes looks an awful lot like the ye olden iPhone Notes application. That being said, this isn’t really a problem for us. The app is tidy, easy to navigate, and fairly good-looking, too.
The developers have also made it incredibly simple to add locations to your notes: A definite plus, since that’s what we’re here for.
They’ve also included a nifty feature called “Keep On Top.” We like this a lot, as it does exactly what you’d think—keeps an important note stuck to the top of your list. This keeps us on track, and means less distraction on the road.
It also helps NearNotes’ case that it’s 100% free in the Google Play Store. Yes, that means you can download it and enjoy it for all that it has to offer right bloody now with no money down. That sounds like a bargain to us!
Long story made short, if you’re looking for a personal notes organizer with events functionality (especially if you’re a frequent traveller) this lightweight, good-looking app will get the job done in spades.
NearNotes requires Android 4.0 and up. A small expedite fee was paid to speed up the publication of this review.
