MSMS B – Multi SMS – Group SMS

Multi Short Message Service (MSMS), from Android app developer Stav Bodik, is an effective and easy-to-use group messaging app.

MSMS is ideal for sending mass messages with a professional vibe, and it is essentially a more customizable messenger than the stock Android messenger.

MSMS currently only has a few features for its Basic version that make it stand out.

Its SMS Tracking feature is one that enables the user to freeze message sending and then continue sending it later without having to utterly cancel the entire message.

The Tracking feature also (like most messaging apps) notifies the user if a message did not get sent successfully.

Another feature is the ability to work from other applications and still send messages

MSMS doesn’t differentiate much from normal SMS apps, and includes all of the normal features commonly found in them (works as a background service, sending lists can be added from contacts or groups, etc.).

Overall, MSMS is quite the same as any other text messaging app currently on the market.

However, the developer has mentioned a soon-to-be released professional version that would enable the importation of contacts via CSV file or text file with no limit on the total number of recipients.

This capability would make it quite a bit more useful for professionals who want to periodically broadcast messages to large opt-in groups.

Stav Bodik has also stated the future implementation of updates allowing the sending of scheduled group messages, and personalized messages to each person on the recipient list (much like a mass personalized email blast).

Appearance and Layout

The appearance of MSMS is pleasant to view and use.

It is a little different and more complex than a normal group messaging app, which is likely due to its focus on managing large groups of recipients.

The layout is self-explanatory and easy to navigate, but since your phone’s normal built-in texting app can do most of the same things, it might be more of a hassle to open up a separate app just to send a group message.

Overall though, the appearance is better to view than the stock messenging app.

Overall, MSMS is similar to other text messaging apps.

The professional version of it with its more powerful features (whenever it is released) should make it much more worthwhile for anyone needing to do large personalized broadcasts.

Since MSMS is currently a free app, it certainly would not hurt to give it a go and try it out for yourself. If you have large lists of people that you need to message, this is an app you want to keep an eye on.

If Mr. Bodik follows through on the updates he is promising this app will easily add a full star to its rating and be an excellent tool for professional marketers who need to leverage multi sms for large customer or prospect lists.

SMS MSMS B – Multi SMS – Group SMS requires Android 2.2 and up. A small expedite fee was paid to speed up the publication of this review.

  1. Hi! I’m now searching the service for the bulk SMS advertisement campaign. Does anybody know whether these apps can be used for sending sms bulk with advertisement reasons?
