Who doesn’t love spending a day at the zoo? There are plenty of animals to see and activities to check out. However, it’s not always possible to go to the zoo everyday. Luckily there’s an app for that!
Trip to the Zoo for Kids is a fun colorful app that takes kids on an activity packed adventure through a day at the zoo.
Kids will learn about animals, their habitats, and much more.
Concept and Functionality
Trip to the Zoo for Kids, developed by KidsGamesProjects, is intended for kids 3 to 5 years old and is filled with 22 different activities for your young ones to complete. From traveling to the zoo to helping feed the animals.
Each activity begins with written instructions that are read aloud by a narrator.
While the instructions are clear, I think some of the activities in Trip to the Zoo for Kids are more for the 5 year olds.
They seem a bit too hard for very young kids to understand and complete on their own, as they tend to be pretty comprehensive and require multiple tasks to complete.
That doesn’t mean parents won’t enjoy playing along with Trip to the Zoo for Kids, though.
One thing I do want to point out is that the app includes ads in a bar along the top of the screen with no way to pay a buck or two to remove it.
Parents should definitely be aware of that before downloading the app and handing the device to their child. There’s no way to block your child from clicking on the ad to download the app.
Trip to the Zoo for Kids features plenty of fun things to do, but it also lets children from around the world experience everything it offers by supporting a great variety of languages.
This is also perfect for parents of children who are learning a second language.
Supported languages include English, Russian, German, French, Polish, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish.
To toggle languages, tap the button on the main menu. While this makes it easy to access all languages available, the location of the language button makes it blend in with the rest of the activities. This means kids can easily tap it by accident.
Trip to the Zoo for Kids can be downloaded from Google Play for free, which is always a great price. Plus, parents don’t have to worry about in-app purchases.
This is a bit of a drawback, though, as I’d love to see the ability to disable ads somehow. Even if Trip to the Zoo for Kids became a paid download to fix this, it’d still be worth it simply because it offers so much for kids to do.
Trip to the Zoo for Kids requires Android 2.3+. A small expedite fee was paid to speed up the publication of this review.
