If there’s one thing parents know, it’s that kids absolutely love learning about farm animals and machinery. From cows and chickens to tractors and much more, there’s plenty for them to learn about.
Animals Farm for Kids is a fun educational app for preschoolers that teaches them everything imaginable when it comes to farm life.
Developed by KidsGamesProjects, this cool app is designed for kids ages 2 to 4 and features plenty of activities and fun things to do.
Concept and Functionality
Learning about animals and farm machinery can be an absolute blast for kids, and Animals Farm for Kids aims to help them explore farm life through a wide variety of activities (25+, to be exact).
Each activity is different from the next, too, so kids shouldn’t become bored.
It’s worth noting that if your child is at the young end of the age range, many of the activities in Animals Farm for Kids will likely require you to sit with your toddler and help as they explore.
The app provides text instructions for each activity, but not all young kids will be able to read and understand what the app is asking of them.
This means Animals Farm for Kids offers a great opportunity for parents and kids to work together in an app.
Once kids get used to the different activities, it’s likely that they’ll eventually be able to complete them on their own.
Animals Farm for Kids not only provides plenty of things for kids to do, but it’s also a great way for kids to learn a second language. How is this so? Animals Farm for Kids includes many different languages for activity instructions.
Languages supported are English, German, Spanish, French, Polish, Russian, and Italian.
There are a couple of improvements that could be made to Animals Farm for Kids, including voice instructions or an animated tutorial to help kids understand each activity without having to read.
This is especially true for younger kids who aren’t able to read just yet. Also, moving the language selection button to a settings menu would keep kids from accidentally tapping it while playing.
Animals Farm for Kids is available to download from Google Play for free, but it’s supported by ads. Personally I think a children’s app is no place for ads, so I hope the developer decides to offer an option to disable them.
That, or make Animals Farm for Kids free for a few activities and then a paid option to download the rest. It’s certainly worth it considering how much content there is.
Overall, Animals Farm for Kids is a fun app for kids that’s loaded with things for them to do. It’s a bit complicated for very young children, but it offers an opportunity for parents to jump in and play a game with their child.
Animals Farm for Kids requires Android 2.3+. A small expedite fee was paid to speed up the publication of this news item.
