Concept and Functionality
One of the first things I noticed about Preschooler World is that it’s loaded with activities for kids to enjoy. I’m not talking about a handful of different games on the screen, either.
After counting them up, Preschooler World offers 15 different activities specifically designed for toddlers aged 2.5 to 4 years old.
These activities range from finding objects that don’t belong to identifying harmful objects and even helping to decorate gingerbread men. Each activity features instructions at the beginning so kids are aware of what they need to do in order to successfully complete each task.
I do want to mention that activities might be a bit complex for very young kids, so parents might want to be around to offer help.
While the activities are very fun, it’s worth noting that Preschooler World contains ads, which will likely concern parents who don’t want their child exiting the app and getting into something they’re not supposed to. Unfortunately there are ads at the top of every screen and there is no option to pay to remove them.
Along with a ton of different games for kids to enjoy, Preschooler World features a wide variety of languages that are supported in the app. Languages include English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Polish, and Russian.
One thing I want to mention, though, is that the language toggle button blends right in with the activities on the main page, so kids will likely tap it accidentally. It’d be much better if a separate page for language settings could be implemented to keep this from happening.
Preschooler World is available to download from Google Play for free and doesn’t include in-app purchases. However, the advertisements are a pretty big sticking point for me seeing as this is an app that’ll be used primarily by children.
We’d love to see the developer convert this app into either a paid download or provide an IAP to remove all ads. Once that happens you can rest easy with your little one playing the app by him or herself, really exploring it and having fun.
Preschooler World requires Android 2.3+. A small expedite fee was paid to speed up the publication of this news item.
