eReader Prestigio is an easy-to-use ebook reader that’s perfect for your Android phone or tablet and puts over one million ebooks in 25 languages right at your finger tips.

Developed by Prestigio Plaza Ltd., eReader Prestigio makes it incredibly easy to find the books you’re looking for.

Features

Don’t worry about trying to find that specific app that reads only PDFs or EPUBs, because eReader Prestigio supports numerous formats, including HTML, FB2, FB2.ZIP, TXT, PDF, EPUB, MOBI, EPUB3, DJVU, MP3, AAC, M4B, EPUB3 and Text to Speech.

Not only that, but eReader  Prestigio is also optimized for and compatible with ebooks of 25 different languages. This is a real plus if you’re studying a foreign language and want to try your hand at reading a book in that language.

This ebook reader even lets you listen to your favorite books with its built in Text-to-Speech (in 25 languages). Simply click on the audio icon and listen as eReader Prestigio reads your book.

eReader Prestigio’s built-in bookstore has more books than you could read in your lifetime, all simply downloaded with a tap of the finger. We were a bit surprised that the alphabetical listing of authors is by first name, but that isn’t a huge issue.

If your Android already has compatible files on it, including ebooks, you can easily scan and add those files and ebooks into eReader Prestigio’s library.

Another great feature that eReader Prestigio has is its File Manager that lets you quickly find where a book is located, and you can also use it connect to cloud storage accounts. There is a “Synchronize” function in the settings menu but we would like to see synchronization across devices with the same account happen automatically.

While eReader Prestigio shares many similarities with other ebook readers (like Aldiko), we found that it’s built-in Text-to-Speech and Store functions make it a step above the other eReaders.

Appearance and Layout

eReader Prestigio has a smooth and simplistic bookshelf design that looks warm and friendly, complete with your books lined up however you’d like to arrange them (where that’s by genre, author, or reading frequency).

Swiping left to right or tapping on icons on the sidebars allows you to swiftly navigate the various functions in eReader Prestigio.

The layout of both the bookshelf and the store are easily maneuverable and we loved how easy it was to use.

Overall, we think that the developers of eReader Prestigio did a great job in putting this app together and making it an improvement over the other eReaders in the Play Store.

Value

The value of eReader Prestigio is terrific since it’s free to download (at only 20 MB to download). That being said, it does cost $0.99 to remove ads but we appreciate the zero cost download so you can check it out to see if you want to keep using it. We think you will.

In addition to removing ads, not all eBooks are free so eReader Prestigio also has numerous in-app purchases, ranging from $0.99 up to $2.20 per item for those eBooks that aren’t free.

Around 5,000 of the ebooks in the eReader Prestigio store are free, and with popular, well-written books by authors like Jack London and Arthur Conan Doyle, it’s a great resource for downloading classics.

Overall, eReader Prestigio is a great ebook reader to have on your Android. We found that it’s much easier to use than other eBook readers and is well worth the download.

eReader Prestigio requires Android 4.0. A small expedite fee was paid to speed up the publication of this review.

  1. Prestigo has the fastest ebook engine, too. I noticed that it is considerably faster and smoother than Moon Reader, and the interface is very simple yet full of options.
