There’s nothing better than finding a fun and addicting new game to play. And guess what, that’s exactly what this review is all about.
Feel the rhythm, get into a groove and kick some alien ass!
Concept and Gameplay
Whether you’re a longtime fan of arcade space games or you’ve never picked one up before, Beat da Beat is the perfect game to try out.
It even features a background story wherein you play the part of an alien whose girlfriend was abducted. You’re on a journey to rescue her, and that journey is filled with enemies and obstacle.
Beat da Beat is one of the most unique games I’ve played because the controls are a bit strange. In order to control your ship, you have to tap and hold your finger on the screen. Where it gets interesting is when you want to use a bomb or your ship’s special ability; releasing your finger brings up the extra ability menu.
One of the reasons I really like this is because it adds a whole new dimension of gameplay and this style is one that most players probably haven’t experienced.
Beat da Beat puts total focus on the game instead of forcing players to divert attention away from the action in order to locate ability buttons.
Personally I’m not a fan of games that can be played and finished within a few hours, and Beat da Beat is anything but a quick play. You have 10 different ships you can unlock and upgrade, which means you have no choice but to keep playing in order to earn coins.
Nope, there are no shortcuts to getting ships faster. Every single virtual dollar must be earned by playing Beat da Beat.
There aren’t any in-app purchases for coin packs or ships. This means that players have to earn everything and that leaderboards are a bit more fair and competitive because you know people didn’t buy their way to the top with real money.
Beat da Beat is available to download from Google Play for $0.99, which is a fantastic price considering you don’t have to spend money on extras. You’re getting a fantastic game for less than the price of a soda.
Overall, Beat da Beat is a fast-paced space shooter that you absolutely have to try if you’re also a dubstep fan. I highly recommend playing the game with headphones for the best experience.
Beat da Beat requires Android 2.3.3+. A small expedite fee was paid to speed up the publication of this review.
