World Series of Poker (also known as WSOP) is a fast-paced, easy to play, and incredibly fun poker game for Android.
Developed by Playtika, the makers of other social, casino-style games, World Series of Poker is a quickly growing poker game to play on your Android device.
If you keep getting walloped by your pals at those weekly poker nights with the bros and you want to work on improving your poker game while on the go (or on the loo at work), then check out World Series of Poker where you can play anywhere with an internet connection.
World Series of Poker features a virtual, international casino poker experience with multi-level tournaments that the player can unlock.
When players win a tournament, they get virtual rings and can climb the leaderboard ladder. Players can also track their stats with what Playtika calls as “the most extensive stat tracking in any poker game.”
Players need to be constantly ready to make their move during a round because there is typically a timer for each player to make their move, and they can be booted from the game if they remain idle.
By connecting with Facebook, players can easily play continuously against their friends plus, they’ll instantly earn (a fake) $15,000 in chips just by connecting with their account.
World Series of Poker has several different chat options (Chat, Turbo Chat, and Mini Chat) which makes communicating easy to do with your poker mates.
We found that World Series of Poker is a splendid game to play when you’re out on the go and want to either learn how to play poker or to stay warmed up and play against folks from around the world.
Appearance and Layout
World Series of Poker has a casino-like feel to the app, with the bright blue-gray-green colour scheme appearing similar to those bright fluorescents in Las Vegas.
The graphics are well-designed and pleasant to look at. The numbers and cards are easy to read, and the tutorials for both Texas Hold ‘Em and Omaha are well designed and straightforward.
The layout can be slightly confusing until one gets used to the rather cluttered screen, but the various option buttons and game modes are easy to find and navigate through.
Overall, we found World Series of Poker to be well designed and crafted by the developers at Playtika.
World Series of Poker is free to download (45 MB) and play, although there are a variety of in-app-purchases you can make to buy more chips. These IAPs range from $0.99 to $367.99. Players get (fake) $10,000 worth of chips every 4 hours, or they can literally buy 1.5 billion for $199.99.
So overall, we think that World Series of Poker is an enjoyable poker app that might (or might not) help improve your real-life game and is great for competing with your pals and people around the world via your Android and an online connection. Check it out and let us know what you think!
