The Cleaner is an optimizing app for your Android device that enhances its performance and allows you to easily analyze, clean, and speed up your device.
If you’re like most of us, and you start wondering why your Android has started slowing down and lags a lot, or starts crashing randomly, then check out The Cleaner and optimize your device.
Developed by Liquidum Limited, The Cleaner essentially cleans up your Android device and improves its overall performance.
The Cleaner has numerous features that are essential to optimizing your device. It offers a Memory Boost that frees up RAM and allows you to end hidden background processes – simply tap on the Memory tab, select Analyze, and then choose which apps you’d like to end to free up that RAM.
The Cleaner analyzes your Storage and presents you with a list of caches you can choose to clear. However, be particularly cautious about what you delete – since once it’s gone it’s nearly impossible to get back.
The Cleaner offers the option of analyzing your Apps and letting you choose which ones you’d like to uninstall. This incorporates one of the more unique features in The Cleaner, because it can sort through your apps based on Call, SMS, Contacts, Location, and Camera permissions.
This filter is particularly valuable since it makes it easy to see what permissions each app has so you can uninstall the ones that are deemed too intrusive.
The Cleaner also includes a “Game Booster” feature that helps improve the performance of your installed games by killing background tasks while you’re playing them.
Overall, we enjoyed how easy it was to use The Cleaner to optimize our Android devices, and we actually did notice some improvement in our devices’ speeds after being cleaned by The Cleaner.
Appearance and Layout
The Cleaner opens up in a horizontal (wide) view on tablets, but it’s still easy to choose what needs to be analyzed. With only three main tabs (Memory, Storage, and Apps), navigating through the app is simple and the layout is well-crafted.
The appearance is friendly and the theme can range from its default “Winter” theme to its Cyber, Navy, Forest, Neon, or Deep Blue theme. The first two (Winter and Cyber) are free, whereas the latter are pay-to-use.
Overall, the appearance and layout of The Cleaner are great for what the app does and we enjoyed dabbling with it.
The Cleaner is free to download, and at only 6.2 MB, it’s a great app to use to free up space and optimize your device. It does have several ads that occasionally appear upon opening the app or cleaning, but they don’t take away from the overall design or feel of the app.
The in-app purchases (such as buying themes or removing all ads) can range from $1.37 to $1.99.
Overall, we enjoyed using The Cleaner and optimizing our Androids. Check it out to optimize your device and let us know what your thoughts are about it in the comments below.
The Cleaner requires Android 4.0.3 and up. A small expedite fee was paid to speed up the publication of this review.
