You have probably seen the slither.io icon if you’ve searching games on Google Play. It is one of the most popular games in the Action gaming category, and for good reason.
slither.io is a simple game that’s action packed, lots of fun, and you can play it anytime and anywhere.
It is a well-thought and perfectly executed action game that is inspired by snake and snake movements, which maybe reminds a little of the popular Nokia game that was a huge hit in the early 2000s.
However, slither.io, from Thorntree Studios, is a completely different gameplay and concept, let’s see what you can expect from it.
Gameplay and concept
The gameplay of Slither.Io is really interesting. That is basically it makes the game to standout. In order to be successful in the game you need to maintain your snake and avoid all other snakes.
To be more specific you need to avoid hitting other snakes with the head. However, there is one additional tricky part of the game that makes the game even more interesting.
You can ruin other snakes if they hit in you, so, this game is constructed on both defense and offence. Slither.io is a multiplayer game as well. You will play against other players from around the globe.
Like we said this a great multiplayer game. You play against other players from around the globe. Your snake size will change as you enjoy the game. However, the head is only important so you will have chance of beating other players even if you are small. When you destroy other snake/player, you can collect and eat their remains.
Another interesting feature of Slither.io is the fact that each day a biggest snake in the world is achieved. This is an additional cool challenge that is displayed on each player as message. Try and create the biggest snake so the other players around the globe can see your achievement.
Graphics and Sound Effects
The graphics is well-executed. The snakes look cool and entertaining and in way are boring. They can change shape and the shapes change with great animations. The sound effects are in tone with the game and they are also smartly implemented. They are not too emphasized which creates great atmosphere for playing.
Overall the game performance is more than satisfactory, although not perfect. The few glitches that’ve experienced while playing this game in the last week are the only flaw of the game. However, the game is mostly really stable and smooth.
The gameplay and concept are really entertaining and the fact that the game is multiplayer makes it even more interesting. The graphics and the sound are creative and smartly implemented, they are actually making the game great.
The interesting additional features like the fact that you can also destroy other players and the ‘biggest snake of the day’ feature are making slither.io stand out from the competition.
slither.io requires Android 2.3 and up. A small expedited fee was paid by the developer to speed up the publication of this review.
