As someone who enjoys bowling as a hobby, one of the things I’ve rarely done is played it as a videogame. It makes quite a bit of sense to use games for practice, especially when it’s much cheaper than heading to the local bowling alley for a few games.
Bowling Online 2 is realistic fun bowling game that features impressively accurate game physics, online gameplay, and much more.
Concept and Gameplay
While I can’t say this is an excellent way to replace actual practice time, Bowling Online 2, a free Android game by Ilia Grigorev, provides a useful and fun way to knock down pins.
Even if you’re not a fan of bowling it’s still a really fun game to play.
One improvement that I’d like to see in Bowling Online 2 is a tutorial that’s more helpful with teaching new users how to play. While it was easy to move the starting position of the ball from side to side, I found myself engaging in a lot of trial and error to figure out how to apply spin to the ball.
Online gameplay is a great feature of this game and really appealing because it means that you can pit yourself against players around the world, which pushes you to become a better player.
I do want to mention that you need to have Google Play Games set up on your Android device in order to take advantage of this.
For a free game, Bowling Online 2 offers quite a bit in the way of extras that will keep you coming back for more. For example, the game features a store where you can purchase different skins and themes for pins, balls, and lanes.
You can only earn coins if you score over 100 in a game, so it’s best to get as much practicing as you can. You can even fine-tune your gameplay by adjusting ball weight.
The only frustrating thing about the store is that you have to hit randomize in order to navigate available skins; the arrow button wouldn’t work for me.
Bowling Online 2 is available to download from Google Play for free. Ads pop up at the end of each game, but they’re very easy to dismiss and they don’t interrupt gameplay.
I couldn’t find a way to purchase coins or disable ads, which is nice because it means that this isn’t a pay to win game.
Overall, Bowling Online 2 is a really fun bowling game that has tons of potential.
Bowling Online 2 is Free and requires Android 2.3+.
