Written Android App Review

We’ve all met Tom, the Android app. We have given him a scratch and even knocked him out a time or two to work out the frustrations of the day. Tom is an old friend….Lila is a new one. She’s a different kind of girl, classy, spunky and way more girly than Tom could ever be. We like her. Where the goal with Tom is to laugh at him and even chuckle a time or two as you knock him to the ground, the goal with Lila is to get to know her. To sing with her and watch as her world turns from day into night. Lila the Talking Fairy is the latest addition to a long line of talking friend type apps. The concept is classic, but Lila makes it her own by capitalizing on the current popularity of a certain Disney fairy and her merry band of flying friends. Now that the introductions are over, lets take a moment to see what Lila is all about.

Talking Lila the Fairy

Gameplay

Lila Android app works very mu ch like Tom and many of the other “talking friend” apps, she just makes it look better. She sings, she repeats, she spins, she giggles and she can even cast a spell or two. In short, this is a new spin on an old favorite. One that may work better for those of us with little girls who have no interest in smacking around a cat that refuses to leave his alley. As to the technical side of things, the app loaded smoothly and worked like a charm. There were no problems with freezing and Lila did everything that we asked of her and preformed like a pro.

Graphics

Lila is a pretty girl and its obvious to see where the developers got their inspiration. Anyone see the new Tinkerbell movie? Only a thousand times? Yep, us too. A nice touch with this app is that it can switch from day to night. May not be a big deal, but its a great feature for parents who are trying to get little ones to wind down for the night. Dim the lights, dim the app, close the eyes…..you get the picture.

Fun Factor

Talking Lila the Fairy isn’t breaking any new ground, but its still a good time. The old favorites are favorites for a reason and new takes on them aren’t always a bad thing. We also love Lila’s fun songs, 2 for the day and 2 for the night, and the 8 different magic spells that she keeps hidden in her bag of tricks. Lila delivers where it counts and she leaves us with a smile on our face. In short, two thumbs up!
