Written Android App Review

Do you love finding free music online? If so, try out the hit free Android app, GTunes Music, from developer Luke W. It is a great Android app for finding free music from websites like Last.FM, 7digital.com and more! Check out the included and updated top music charts in different genres to find the best beats for your Android phone or tablet today!

Functions

When creating the Android apps review of GTunes I found navigation to be quite intuitive. There are tabs at the top of the page for Search, Downloads, Library, Play (music), Edit and About (info on the app developer team and contact email) in GTunes Music. Once you have found a song you like, you can either download it directly, or elect to preview it beforehand. If you preview it, GTunes Music will stream a version to your Android device for you to listen to.

GTunes Music also lets you edit songs so that you can use them as ring tones. However, make sure your SD card is mounted in your Android device before you do this, or it will not work. There’s a nasty ‘bug’ that I encountered revolving around this-if you don’t have an SD card mounted at the time of use, and you click on the ‘edit’ tab, you’ll be notified that you need one mounted before you can edit songs. Then, the app will close. However, whenever you reboot the app, it will take you back to the page you last viewed, in this case the edit page, and it will close on your constantly until you get an SD card mounted in your Android.

Graphical Layout

GTunes is really easy to use and find music with, even for the new user. The overall layout of the search features make it really easy to find music, even from all over the world. There is a large section of Asian (mostly Japanese and Korean artist at the moment) for users to quickly view, something fans of that type of music (JPop and KPop) will certainly appreciate.
There are ads that scroll and popup on the bottom of the app and while I’m not a big fan of such ads, they do help keep the app itself free.

Value

For music lovers, GTunes Music offers a lot of excellent features. There are many different free music apps available for the Android at the moment but GTunes Music is one of the more polished one on the Android Market. It’s also free (with ads), making it an even nicer Android app. Finally, the ability to edit your songs and make them into ringtones is super nice and certainly a feature many users will appreciate.

Android Apps Review Details: GTunes Music app is free. This app requires Android 1.6 and up. You may download GTunes Music from the Android Market.
