Written Android App Review

Let’s face it, there are moments in life when you need help, and thankfully Android apps are here to help. Sometimes you need knowledge and information not readily available to those of us who didn’t go to medical school and don’t have a doctor we can call at a moment’s notice. Maybe you’re on a playground and need to find the closest ER after your son takes a tumble off the monkey bars. Or, maybe your spouse is experiencing pain and neither of you are sure if it is serious or not. Whatever the reason, when time counts and you need peace of mind, then iTriage is the Android app you want.

iTriage

Features

When delving into iTriage Android apps review I found that the iTriage Android app was created by two emergency room physicians who wanted to offer targeted answers to health related questions. Questions like “What do I have?” and “Where should I go?” are ones that all of us have at one time or another. The questions are the same, it is the answers that matter. This app can be used to check symptoms, find docs or even check references for the docs that you find. Then, using the information you input, iTriage will help you decide what kind of doctor you should visit, what type of ailment you are facing and where the closest medical facilities are in relation to your location. Not only a doctor in your pocket, but a doctor with their own GPS!

Here are a few of the great features that pack iTriage:

  • A comprehensive nationwide directory of all (yes ALL) US hospitals, urgent care facilities, physician clinics and retail pharmacies.
  • Listings for over 750,000 health care providers.
  • Turn by turn GPS directions.
  • Estimated emergency room wait times as well as pre-registration capabilities at select hospitals.

Design

The design of iTriage Android app is one of its greatest strengths. Why? Because it makes the information accessible. An app like this can have all the information in the world, but if you can’t get to it, then its useless. iTriage has a well thought out organizational structure that adds to the effectiveness of the program while working to enhance the overall users experience.

When the Android app opens, you are given a variety of options. From this one central location you choose whether you want to find medical treatment, find a doctor, look up symptoms, research diseases or learn about a specific procedure. You can also run a voice search. During our review the app loaded well, searched quickly and ran smoothly. It did not lock up and it provided accurate information upon each inquiry. This was a very pleasant surprise and greatly contributed to the app’s 5 star rating.

Value

Value? Are you kidding! iTriage is a free Android app that could prove to be priceless in the right situation! I know most of us like to think that we are level headed and not prone to panic, but there are moments when all of that flies right out the window. Those are the moments where you will need this app and those are the moments when you will be glad that you have it.
