Watch the total cached memory to be cleared number at the top to identify your memory gains. My first scan with MindSoft Cache Cleaner identified approximately 9 MB of cached data to clear. Tap menu then “Settings” to schedule an automatic cache clean up. This feature will be extremely useful on Android phones will smaller memory allotments. If you have ever seen an error while trying to install an application, seen a low memory system warning or been unable to send and receive text messages, you know what I mean.
The last items in MindSoft Cache Cleaner are applications currently installed on your Android, reflecting the amount of space being used by cached data and the actual size of each app. Tap an app to access the application info page where you can clear data or uninstall apps you no longer need and use.
User Interface
The MindSoft Cache Cleaner app is extremely quick, responsive and easy to understand. The only concern I have is user error, so a word to new Android users. If you use MindSoft Cache Cleaner be careful not to inadvertently delete your call history, message history or Android apps if you do not intend to. MindSoft installed a polite reminder that makes you confirm your intentions to delete calls and messages if you try to select the check boxes next to them, so I foresee very few complaints.

Using MindSoft Cache Cleaner for Android is even easier if you install one of the simple widgets that come with the application. Enable one-touch cache cleaning by setting your preferences in the MindSoft Cache Cleaner app then installing the small 1-x-1 widget or the larger 1-x-4 widget. I prefer the slightly larger widget for clarity’s sake. The display advises users of the amount of cached memory they can recover by performing a clear.

The list price for MindSoft Cache Cleaner is $.71, but this is an approximation since the price is in Euros. At the time of my Android Apps Review hands-on with MindSoft Cache Cleaner, purchasing the app cost me $.99. There is a free version of MindSoft Cache Cleaner but it will only manage your device’s browser cache memory. The bottom line is this Android app saves users time and effort.
