Written Android App Review
One of the iOS’s biggest games, Pretty Pet Salon, which has over 7 million downloads, was released on the Android platform this month. If you are a fan of time-management games (many of the likes are on Facebook), then you should love this Android app.
Gameplay
I enjoyed the Android app review exploration of Pretty Pet Salon. As you can probably guess by the name, the goal of the Android app is groom other people’s pets and manage the flow and demands of each customer in a timely fashion. Keep your customers happy, and you might get a surprise visit from a celebrity! But beware – if you aren’t fast enough, customers will walk out without paying and will decrease your happiness level.
Pretty Pet Salon
I must say, the first day was the hardest for me and one of my customers got upset and left. Here I was, frantically running around, trying to groom four customer’s demanding pets at a time and one of them got tired of waiting and walked out. How rude! But that’s how shavings fall.
In addition to having to keep up with multiple grooming stations and cashing customers out, the player has to manage their resources (money and pet points) in order to hire help and upgrade equipment. If you decide to play this game, make sure the first thing you get is an assistant. Trust me on this one – they are a lifesaver! I award five stars for gameplay.
Graphics
Let me preface the graphics by stating that while your customers are humans, obviously their pets are not and neither are you! You are the a piglet named Piglina (cute, right?) and all your helpers are various animals, except the checkout bot. That said, this game emanates cuteness. If cuteness isn’t your thing, steer clear! Unless of course you have a young daughter who would likely squeal with joy at the oozing cuteness. Can you tell I’m not a “cute” kind of person? Regardless, the game is well designed and the graphics are actually quite good. Gameplay is smooth, which is important considering the rapid-fire moving and clicking required to play and the constant coming and going of pets and customers. For being a little too sickeningly cute, I am deducting half a star from Graphics.
Value
A free app, Pretty Pet Salon would be great for anyone who enjoys cuteness, pets and time management games. In addition, if you have young daughters or grandkids, they would likely get a kick out of this as well. However, since this game likely has little or not appeal to the male gender, I am deducting half a star (you’re welcome fellas).
