Written Android App Review

These days everyone is looking to save some cash. From the grocery store to the gas station and beyond, we are all learning that every penny counts and that it is up to us to sculpt our budget in new and exciting ways each and every time a new month rolls around. That is why couponing is becoming so popular. Those tiny little slips of paper have the power to add up quickly and they can make a huge dent in your bottom line. And, as exciting as that is, The Couponing App (and Android app) takes things one step further with their mobile deal machine. I’ll admit, its a great system, but its also not without its flaws.

Features

I enjoyed the Android App review of the Couponing Android app, and I learned that when you load The Couponing App to your Android device, you then have the ability to add a widget to your screen. The widget updates constantly, so all you have to do is glance down to get a good look at the latest deals as well as who has them. Plus, as an added benefit, this Android app will find you the best gas prices in your area while also giving you the option to share these great deals via facebook, twitter or email. Still not impressed? Well then, how about they throw in a barcode scanner that instantly searches for the lowest price on any item you can find. Its definitely a packed app, and thanks to your Android, you can have it right at your fingertips.

Daily Deals

Curious as to what kind of deals can be found on an Android app? Me too. So I spent sometime searching through their database as well as playing with the barcode scanner. I loved how easy this Android app worked and how quickly it responded. I also loved that the barcode scanner gave me several different options for every product that I scanned. No hesitation, just results.

But the best part of this Android app is that it covers such a wide range of stores and vendors. Deals from Redbox, from Taco Bell and from Macy’s all scrolled through my phone. Not to mention Barnes and Noble, AC Moore and TCBY. And they never stop. If you were to check The Couponing App’s Android widget once every other minute throughout the day or night, you would probably never see the same deal twice. They just keep coming….and coming….and coming.

Having all of this information ready and waiting for you is more than just nice, it is peace of mind. Because with this Android app you know that have the power to price check any time of the day or night. In fact, my husband and I pulled The Couponing App out at our local Hhgregg last night as we purchased a new TV. As the salesmen ran through his pitch about how their prices couldn’t be beaten to my husband, I scanned the barcode. I then flipped my phone around to show our happy helper how not one, but three other stores were well below his advertised price. His jaw dropped….and so did the price! Success!

My only problem with this Android app is that some of the stores do require that you have a paper coupon if there is not a barcode for them to scan. When we tried to do one of the deals for a local fast food restaurant, we just showed them the Android screen as directed. They didn’t go for it. The acknowledged running the deal, but were not willing to honor it without us having a coupon in hand. If this is going to happen, then every deal needs some type of barcode. After all, if they can scan it, then they can honor it.
