Written Android App Review
Once in a while you come across an Android app that is much more than just another Android app. It is something that pulls you in and takes on a life of its own, leaving you reaching for your Android device every single time you have a spare minute. Walkabout is just such an app! When I first started on this review, I expected a fun game, one that would pass the time and then be gone from my mind. (Like so many that have come before!) I quickly found myself absorbed in the game, making it harder and harder for me to put down my Android and walk away. The game is fantastic! But don’t just take my word for it! Let’s go see why you won’t want to walk away from the Walkabout Android App!
Walkabout
Your quest begins as you meet your new little friend, Queenie. She is on a mission to collect all of the Magic Stars that have scattered throughout her kingdom. 64 levels worth of Magic Stars to be exact! The only problem is that one star must lead directly to another, so one wrong step and you are trapped!
It short, Walkabout is a puzzle app for your Android device. As you work through the levels you have to plan your moves so that your friends are never trapped and never stuck. Collect all the Magic Stars and you get to move on. Fail and you have to keep trying until you get it right!
Fun Factor
As I said before, this is one of those Android apps that is hard to put down. It is also hard to explain, an app that you have to see in action to fully understand. But! Once you do you will find yourself reaching for this Android app again and again. The levels stick in your head and make you want to solve the puzzle once and for all.
So is it fun?
Absolutely! As long as you enjoy puzzles. If not, then this isn’t going to be the Android app for you.
Walkabout
Value
At $1.60, (exchanges rates….who can understand them!?!?) Walkabout Android App has quite a bit to offer for the money. The investment is not huge, and the number of levels associated with the game make it worthwhile. With 64 regular levels and the possibility of unlocking 8 separate bonus levels you are looking at an investment of about $0.02 per level. Not to bad! Plus, there is a lite version for those of you who like to try before you buy. So give it a shot. This is a great game and one that offers something a bit different from anything else out there today.
