Getting live weather updates via an Android app is nothing new. In fact, there are about 500 and 12 different Android apps designed to help you do just that. However, there is something different about Go Weather Animate Wallpaper Android app. This is one Android app that takes things to the next level with it’s fun design and innovative setup.

The first thing you need to know about Go Weather Animate Wallpaper is that it is not a stand alone Android app. To make this Android app work, you have to download the latest version of Go Weather. The best way to put it is that Go Weather is the brains while Go Weather Animate Wallpaper is just all the pretty pictures.
Once everything is all loaded up, these two Android apps work together to offer you a “live” view of your local weather. Meaning that if it is “sunny” where you live, then when you open up your device, you will see a beautiful scene of sunshine. As the forecast and the weather changes, so does the picture!
And the pics are stunning!
What I was not expecting was a static pic. When I first saw this Android app, I thought that the pics would offer moving images, but they don’t. They are beautiful, but the are just still shots.
Functionality
And the problems start! Go Weather Animate Wallpaper had problem after problem during the review process. First, the app froze and locked up my Android device more than once. Second, I had trouble setting my location. And, the icing on the cake, the app drained my battery like crazy.
Now, the battery drain problem is common among animated wallpapers, so I really didn’t expect Go Weather Animate Wallpaper to be any different on that front. But when you combine that issue with the other problems it just feels like one more thing that you have to deal with.

Value
The value in this app comes from how well it works on your particular Android device and how much you enjoy it. For me? The payout isn’t really worth the problems you have to deal with. I think that the original Go Weather Android App works great, looks beautiful and I love its set-up, but I don’t love this extension.
You, however, might feel differently. Go Weather Animate Wallpaper may work perfectly for you and provide you with a beautiful visual representation of your local weather. It may be just what you are searching for. Both Android apps are free, so I say give it a shot and see for yourself what Go Weather Animate Wallpaper is all about.
