Written Android App Review
The new Tiny Bee Android app is a fun example of how big things can come in small packages. After all, who would have thought that you could pack this much fun and personality into one tiny little animated bee!?!? I mean, this little guy is less than an inch long, but he rules his Android world with both speed and agility.
Tiny Bee
The latest in a long line of Ting Wing like games, Tiny Bee is a fast paced ball of fun that starts rolling right from the word go. The graphics are great and the story is unique, but this game has some big shoes to fill. Today we are going to find out if the Tiny Bee Android app is up to the challenge.
Gameplay
After performing my Android app review, I found the following setup; When you start a new game you are introduced to your very own little sweet Bee. She can smell the sweet scent of honey in the air, she just can’t seem to get her wings to work in a reliable manner.
This is where you come in!
Your job in this Android app is to help your new little friend master the skill of flying as you slide gracefully down the hills to soar through the sky. The idea is to go for the gentle touch so that you are able to collect as much pollen as possible and meet your goals for each individual level. Meet your goals and you get to move on. Fail and you get to start over right from the beginning. Just don’t forget about those storm clouds! Move too slowly over the course and it will quite literally rain all over your parade.
The problem with Tiny Bee is that the game does not seem to be reliable. Everything loaded onto my phone just fine, but the Android app forced closed each time the storm caught up with my little Bee. It closes before you can lose, but it still gets old to have to re-open the game each time you get close to failing a level.
Fun Factor

The upside is that the game is fun! It’s catchy and enjoyable to play. Now, it takes a time or two to get the hang of the controls and to be able to skillfully control your Tiny Bee, but that’s kind of the whole point.
The downside is that it is not fun to keep having to reboot the game. It did not freeze up my Android, but it did force close time and time again. After awhile, that starts to get old! If the developers could fix this then it would definitely go a long way towards improving the Android app as a whole.
Value
At $1.14 the Tiny Bee Android app is affordable, but its not free. My feeling is this. If a game is going to have this many problems then it needs to be free to have any kind of value at all. Yes, there is a demo version, but it is super super short and very low on content. If you want a game that you can actually play then you’ll have to go for the full Android app. Once the bugs are worked out, the app will be great. Until then? It’s just okay.

Android Apps Review Details: The Tiny Bee Android app costs $1.14. This app requires Android 1.6 and up. You may download Tiny Bee from the Android Market.
