Let’s be honest…prank calling, (especially prank calling your friends!) is a blast. But the one thing that can kill a good prank faster than anything is the dreaded caller ID. I mean, how fun can it be to prank someone when they know that its you? Boring!
That is where Spoof Pro and other similar Android apps come into play!
Spoof Pro allows you to change your voice, change your number and even record the calls to enjoy again and again. After all, if the prank is good, then why should you only be able to live it once? But when it comes to delivering the perfect prank call, Spoof Pro has some stiff competition in the Android Market. So are they the best of the best…or… are they doomed to fall into Android oblivion? The set up for this Android app is pretty sweet. It all starts with four simple choices:
- What number do you want to call?
- What number do you want to show up on the Caller ID?
- Do you want to use a voice changer?
- Do you want to record the call?
Make your choices, hit “Place Call Now” and Spoof Pro springs into action. Some calls are better than others, but that part is really up to you. The point here is that the Spoof Pro Android App gives you the tools for the fun….what you do with them is up to you!
Fun Factor
As far as Fun Factor to me Spoof Pro is squarely in the middle of the road. Why? Well a couple reasons. First, when it comes to prank calling, the features are fun, but they just don’t have that “WoW” factor. As in, there really isn’t anything unique here that you couldn’t find in about 20 other Android Apps. I do love how easy it is to use, but I feel like they could have done a bit more with the set up as a whole.
Secondly, after you use up your 10 free minutes, the calls get pretty pricey. At the rate of $9.99 per 60 minutes, it’s not astronomical, but it is on the high side.
Basically I’m looking for a few more options at a more competitive price.
Share Worthiness
Some Android apps you can’t help but share. They just grab hold of your attention and make you want to shout from the roof tops how awesome they are as a whole. Is the Spoof Pro Android Apps one of these great finds? Ahhhhh….probably not. It’s fun. It’s a good time for the free 10 minutes and then it gets old. Once you have to start pulling out the wallet the fun factor drops quickly. So share it with your friends, have a good time while it lasts and then move on. You’ll have a smile on your face and be ready for round two….when more free minutes come around that is.
