Regardless of whether you are religious about getting your car serviced or entirely forget basic oil changes, Car Maintenance Reminder Pro Android app will help track all your maintenance information as well as remind you when it is time for service. Car Maintenance Reminder Pro features tracking for nearly every regular maintenance need your vehicle requires. This includes not just oil changes and tire rotations, but also radiator flushes, air filters, cabin filters, state inspections, windshield wiper blades, transmission fluid exchanges, brakes, spark plugs, alignments, timing belts and batteries. And if that isn’t enough, you can add custom reminders and trackers as well.

In addition, each item is fully customizable based on your needs. For instance, if you use synthetic oil, you only need an oil change every 5,000-6,000 miles instead of 3,000 like with conventional oil. The reminder function will therefore allow you to specify how many miles and/or months you wish to go between services. This same principle applies to every service this app offers.
Another handy feature is the ability to track your fuel fill-ups in order to compare fuel economy and consumption over time. It will also show you charts for your odometer, costs, distance between fill-ups, days between fill-ups and volume per fill-up. This information can be viewed in either chart or table form and can be compared over different periods of time. For overall features, I award five golden stars.
Design
Honestly, I am not keen on the color scheme or layout of this app. I personally use aCar as my vehicle monitoring app so this one seems dull, dreary and ugly in comparison. Pea green simply isn’t a good choice for any app…actually, it isn’t a good choice for anything – ever. Typically I enjoy gray tones in design schemes, but when combined with browns, burnt orange, pea green, red and several shades of brown, the overall effect is greatly diminished.
Technically speaking, however, this app nearly all the same features as aCar but with one important distinction. The most commonly used feature in any app such as this one is the ‘add a fill-up’ option. Car Maintenance Reminder Pro requires the user to click on an extra button to switch over to the screen where the button for this is located. This really should be located on the main page so the user only has to click one item. I feel this is such an important design flaw, that I am deducting one full star.
Value
As this is the pro version, it costs $1.99. However, there is a free, ad-supported version of this application as well. Some features are not available in the free edition, but I would suggest starting there if you are at all doubtful. Is this app worth $1.99? I would say yes, but only if 1) you don’t want ads, 2) you have more than one vehicle, and/or 3) you want the option of importing/exporting saved data. Also, if you habitually forget to get maintenance on your vehicle, then you should really consider using this app. Your vehicle will thank you! I am awarding 4 stars for value simply because there are slightly better and more aesthetically pleasing apps available.
