Written Android App Review
I have often thought that they should have some kind of gamers anonymous for Zynga games. As in, “Hi! My name is Carrie and I am addicted to Frontierville.” Trust me, it would be fitting. I love my little slice of the frontier like it is my home away from home! The oxen, the chickens, the quests! Each one pulls me in just that much more until it becomes a black hole of time that I can never manage to pull myself out of without help.
The only problem is that if I want to play, then I have to have my computer and that really isn’t possible when sitting in the passengers seat of the family car. There is just no way to work the frontier from my Android device. Well my friends, I am happy to announce that the new Fronterville Android app is bringing us closer than ever before when it comes to tending your crops and protecting your land.

My Androind app review found that it’s not perfect. I’ll be the first to admit that. But it is a good first step and makes me hopeful that one day soon I will be able to Zynga to my hearts’ content right from my Android device.
Features
The first thing you need to know about the Frontierville Android app is that it does not allow you to actually play Frontierville. But! What it does do is connect you with your actual Frontier Town right from your Android device. The real Frontierville, not some strange list of “cheats!” or “facts” that mean next to nothing and have absolutely zero to do with tending to your town. This Android app is different. In fact, the Frontierville App Android app allows you to check messages, collect bonuses, check in with the forum and connect with facebook and Zynga for up to date news and information.
Is this exactly what we have been hoping for? No. But, its a good first step and its far more than we have had in the past!
Fun Factor
I honestly can’t say that the Frontierville App is fun. It’s not the game, so there really isn’t anything to play. But it is useful. It allows you to take care of many of the little “administrative duties” that go along with caring for your Frontier Town right from your Android device. Meaning that when you do have the time to play, then you can just dive right in to the fun.
I would be lying if I didn’t tell you that I wanted more. I mean, I like the app, but what I want is to be able to play Frontierville on my Android. I want the full game. I’m just not going to get it yet.
Value
In all honesty I’m not sure that I can sit here and tell you that the Frontierville App Android app is worth the buck they are asking for. Yes, it does have some neat functions, but for me its just not enough. If it were a free Android app then I would fully recommend it without ever thinking twice….but its not. So I’ll say this. If you seriously can’t imagine leaving your little town to fend for it’s self, then give the Frontierville App a try. If this doesn’t sound like you, then save the buck and use it to buy more horseshoes!
