Four score and seven years ago, who was the president of the United States of America? Most of us would have to rack our brains or covertly type, “What does four score mean?” into our Google search widgets. If you had Presidents by the Number from developer JW Web Tech the answer might be much easier to remember. History buffs rejoice! Presidents by the Number makes learning history as easy as launching your favorite Android app.

It’s not difficult to bring up a list of the past presidents of the USA, and there are several Android apps that do just that. During my Android app review process I was pleasantly surprised with the additional features of Presidents by the Number. This isn’t a boring app with a snooze-worthy list, it’s a lot more.
Each of the presidents have their own special section full of facts, historical highlights and even a special presidential ode that will help users retain information. There are also sections on vice presidents, Supreme Court facts and Supreme Court justices. One of my favorite features is the quiz section where you can put the information you learned to use.
Add a section for users to submit fun facts that may become part of the app and in-app links to Presidents by the Number brochures and feedback, and you have a well-rounded presidential info app that does much more than bore users with list after list of facts.
Educational Factor
The amount of educational information in Presidents by the Number app for Android is amazing. There are also monthly updates that make this Android app one you can come back to again and again to keep learning. Including fun three-line “Presidential Odes” on each president is a brilliant educational technique. Combine all this information with an effective quiz platform, and that puts the educational factor of Presidents by the Number Android app through the roof.

User Interface
Presidents by the Number organizes information in subheadings on the app’s main page. Tap a topic to open additional options. The app uses my favorite function, the back button, and “Return to Home” links to make navigation easy. I downloaded Presidents by the Number on my Android powered Samsung Galaxy S device and did notice a slightly frustrating formatting issue around the corners, so the app loses a point for currently appearing less than perfect on my device. With all the updates this app will get, I’m sure it’s an easy fix.

What do you expect to pay for a top-notch historical education app? Presidents by the Number Android app costs $1.99. I think that’s an extremely fair price for an Android app with such a wealth of information. Save time and work your brain out with this wonderful Android app.
