Written Android App Review
We all know that I am always on the look out for a new favorite Android app time waster. The kind of fun and addicting game that will have me reaching for my Android any time I find two extra minutes to string together. And while there are many choices out there, I have found that most games are simply not up to the challenge. They are, to put it quite simply, boring.
But today’s game is different.
Today we are going to spend some time getting to know Fireball. What is Fireball? Its a Android game with attitude, spunk and just enough heat to keep me coming back for more time and time again. In short, its a game that I think we need to get to know a little better and one that I am more than happy to share with you today.
Fireball
Game Play
My Android app review found that the premise is simple, just slide your finger across the screen to cut off pieces and parts of the shape in question. Get it small enough and you move to the next level.
There’s just one little catch……the Fireballs!
These little bad boys bounce and spin their way around your screen with wild abandon. Hit one and your toast. Separate one Fireball from the rest of the group and you get the privilege of starting over from the beginning. It’s all about strategy, skill, patience and speed. A combination of traits that many of us struggle to balance!
Functionality
I don’t want to go so far as to say that functionality is a weak point of this Android app, but it is an area that needs work.
Here is what I found. Overall, the game worked great. It loaded well and played smoothly. The only flaw I found was that every now and then Fireball was not able to read the swipe of my finger accurately. What I mean by that is there was often a bit of a lag between the action of my hand and the reaction on the screen.
Fireball
Now, sometimes this didn’t matter in the least. BUT! Other times it made the difference between passing a level and getting to start all over from the beginning. Its not enough to make me abandon the game, but it IS an area that needs to see a bit of fine tuning.
Fun Factor
Here is what I love about this Android app. First, its a blast to play. Second, its free. And third, it has over 50 levels ready and waiting for you with more on the way. Plus…did I mention that its FREE!?!? It’s not often that you can find a game like this one, one that is both fun and a bit different from what you are used to, and get the chance to play the full version without having to pony up for any kind of price tag. That fact alone makes the Fireball Android app a must see in my book.
So what are you waiting for? I think it far past time for you to go see for yourself. Love it or hate it, this is one game that will pull you in and leave your head spinning!
