Written Android App Review

There is a new way to math success and you can find it on your very own Android device. The new Math Practice Android app is designed to help you keep your edge without the boredom and tedium of your youth. After all, its about much more than just having the skill. Its also about having the ability and the will to want to use it. My Android app review aims to determine if this Android app adds up or falls flat.

Math Practice

Features

Math Practice is designed to help both you and your children fine tune your basic math skills. With settings for addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, Math Practice has all the bases covered while also taking things one step further by offering three different difficultly levels per skill.

Need to make notes to work out a problem? No sweat, just scribble on the screen. Need to work on one skill more than another? Simple, levels for each math area are set individually.

Here’s what I love. I love that Math Practice Android app covers all four of the basic math principals in a way that makes it appropriate for most learners. I especially love the “mixed” or shuffle option. What I don’t love is that its a bit boring. Really you’re just looking at one problem after another flashing up on the screen and timing you as you work it out.

Math doesn’t have to be boring! It would be nice to see this solid tutoring tool take a big step towards fun to liven things up and keep the user engaged.

Functionality

In terms of functionality, Math Practice worked great. I really can’t find a single complaint in this area as the Android app loaded perfectly, ran smoothly and did not freeze or force close a single time.

Also…are you ready for this? The Math Practice Android app does not have a single permission! Not one! This may be a record and it is certainly something that I have never come across before. That alone would earn this Android app an extra star in my book.

Math Practice

Usefulness

Let me ask you this. Do you have little ones learning these lessons for the first time? Then the Math Practice Android app is definitely worth the $.99 you pay for it. This way you can help them work on their skills no matter where you are, and you’re not chained to a table and a worksheet as you try to get it done.

I love the scoring system and how you can customize the level your child is working at. This helps you to find that balance where they can achieve success while still learning. Then, all you have to do is take a quick glance and you can see exactly what kind of progress they are making as well as get a clear picture as to how well they are mastering the skills.
