Absolute Competition Android app is a collection of eight full games tucked into one convenient app. Needless to say my Android app review was a lot of fun this time.
Absolute Competition
Zombie Attack cashes in on a popular trend of hating on the undead. Block Tactics uses the rules of physics to create challenging block busting boards. Jumper sounds and looks deceptively simple, but is intensely challenging and a lot of fun. Doggy Toss is all about the boosts and seeing how far that pooch can fly. The Inflatables is a space filling game with a lot of sharp balled danger. Blob Ball is a combination of volleyball and racquetball played by blobs. Bubble Burst is a whole new take on a classic. Helicopter is the classic game of my youth where you fly and try to stay alive.
And there are more games on the way.
On top of all the awesome game action, Absolute Competition Android app keeps track of extensive leader boards. Here’s where those bragging rights come into play. You can either play anonymously, or create a profile linked to your Facebook account to challenge friends and keep tabs on their scores as well. I definitely suggest creating a profile to get the most out of this app.
Fun Factor
A lot of Absolute Competition’s games are retro and operate on classic principles. Speed, accuracy and a sense of humor come in handy with this Android app. With a little hard work, it’s easy to make your mark on the leaderboards and catapult your rise in infamy.
The Facebook integration brings gives this classic app a whole new feel. Beating your friends at games is even more fun than beating strangers. This app gets an A+ for its retro digs, funny new games and fiercely inspiring competition.

Any app with eight different games, a profile section and some basic settings needs some firm guidance while being designed. Despite the complexity of the fun in this app, it is very easy to navigate and use. A dedicated profile button in the upper right-hand corner is always easy to find.
While you are in-game a simple tap of the menu button, located in the same unobtrusive location in each game, will bring you home. The game graphics are all different, a refreshing thing to find in an app with multiple games. They range in style and aesthetic from retro Atari-chic to modern glossy zombie.
Value
Absolute Competition is available for free download in the Android Market. So that’s eight games (with more on the way) and an integrated competition that never ends. That’s a whole lotta fun for nothing.
