Features
Start things off by choosing the pet of your dreams. I love that there are so many different choices and that you are not limited to the standard dog and cat motif. My choice? A fuzzy little bunny who will now be my friend for life whether he wants to or not….even if I dress him funny!
Once you are your little friend get to know each other, its time for you to find your way around the Papaya Pet Paradise universe. You have the old standard of feeding and caring for your pet, but you also have several plots thrown in as well as the ability to hold down a part time job.
After all, a pet has to earn their keep!
What do I love? I love all the choices and I love the addition of the plots. It keeps things interesting and breaths life into what could otherwise be a pretty boring game.
What do I hate? Well, let’s move on to functionality before we get to that one.
Functionality

Here’s the problem. As much potential as this game has, it just doesn’t have the technical depth to back it up. On more than one front. First off, the game froze up or force closed more often than it worked. It was hard to get through the set-up process, much less find my way to the fun. Secondly, there are more permissions here than I even want to think about. How many? Oh…just 15!
Seriously! 15 permissions! This is beyond ridiculous. And when you sit down and actually read what you are giving them permission to do on your Android, you might just find yourself feeling a bit queesy!
Here’s what I think. I think that Papaya Pet Paradise needs to spend more time worrying about developing a game that actually works and less time worrying about the types of permissions that they are able to sneak past their users. Now that might make for a game that is both fun and well made!
Fun Factor
Here is the reality. If you can get this game to work, then it might be a good time. That is if you can get past the fact that you are signing your life away just by loading it onto your device! Papaya Pet Paradise is a great concept and what I saw of the game had me smiling. It just didn’t stay working long enough for the smile to last. But the game is free and if it sounds like the Android app you’ve been dreaming of, then give it a shot. Who know? You might just love it.
