The Earth has a nasty habit of getting destroyed or becoming uninhabitable in Android apps, and it appears our poor globe is at it again. But never fear! You have been transported to another planet in Elf City, where humans and elves co-exist with flattering civility. It’s time to create the beautiful new home of your dreams in this city building Android app sensation.
Gameplay
There are dozens of builder games available in the Android Market, but Elf City Android app quickly found its way into my heart during my Android app review. The mystical, fantasy setting and option to play an elf make it really special.
Elf City
In Elf City Android app the idea is to create a perfect home for your new civilization. Like most builder apps, you start out hot and heavy, earning coins by cultivating products in your new market place and building all kinds of homes, shops and decorations.
After the initial frenzy, Elf City is a perfectly lovely game you can play casually by checking in a few times a day. The higher your level, the more interesting the structures you can place become. With a little dedication you can build a beautiful column filled city full of gardens and graceful homes.
You can also tap in to the social portion of the game by adding friends, visiting other cities and praising their progress. Earn coins for your good deeds, send gifts to fellow players and leave messages for others to encourage their new cities. Maybe they’ll return the favor.
Graphics & Design
I love the fanciful touches in the Elf City builder app. The gardens are beautiful and even the structures are intricate and unique. It is obvious that the Elf City Android app builders put a lot of time and effort into crafting a special app that’s sure to capture your imagination.
Variety also adds to the app. There are over 80 different types of structures, markets and decorations you can combine to create a truly unique home in Elf City.
User Interface
The challenge with any civilization builder app is to optimize the in-app space for your users while providing a lot of fun options to keep them interested. Although Elf City is ad supported, developers manage to keep the user interface clean and easy to use by utilizing introduction ads instead of mucking up the in-app fun.
Elf City Android app has an extremely well thought out user interface. A simple top bar with a translucent backdrop allows you to keep tabs on your progress. A collapsing bottom menu is an easy way to access your account settings and social interactions. You can even opt in to push notifications.
Value
Since I already mentioned the in-app ads, my clever readers have probably deduced that Elf City is a free Android app. I love free apps, especially when they are this special and fun to use. Look for me in-app! City name Valeria.
