Bhive Google Tasks Video Android App Review
Concept and Functionality
Bhive Google Tasks
Obviously, Bhive Google Tasks keeps users synced and up to date with their Google Tasks, and to-do’s. The app accomplishes this by latching itself onto the device’s Google account and automatically yanking any current tasks down the pipe. From there, existing items can be managed in a pinch, while new ones can be introduced quickly using the typing method at the bottom of the app. We especially appreciated this “quick type” functionality: Using the entry field along the base, users simply type in a string of information, including hashtags, and punch return. The app automatically converts these into useable tasks, saving you precious seconds.
The app also comes with more filters than we quite know what to do with. Items can be sorted by category, due date, importance, and tags. The navigation tabs along the top automatically filter content when clicked, which is an especially useful feature for the user with a deadline. Each item can also be customized to provide a custom warning or alarm, a reminder that can be set-up to recur on certain days or at certain times.
All in all, it’s an extremely functional and efficient way to manage your Google Tasks from your phone. Bhive Google Tasks is easily one of the best task manager’s we’ve seen integrated with the Big-G’s to-do manager, and we found it incredibly easy to use.
Design and Layout
Not to mention that Bhive Google Tasks looks absolutely fantastic on our Android phone. The interface is simple, offering a touch-oriented way to control items. The filters were nearby, too, and the copious sifting functions took only a few clicks to get at.
We would have liked to be able to create new categories from Bhive Google Tasks, though. Likewise, exporting tasks to our email client, or even Facebook, would have been appreciated as well.
Overall Value
Bhive Google Tasks is certainly pricy, clocking in at CA $4.99. For that money, though, users can enjoy one of the most functional Google Tasks clients available for Android. The interface is excellent, the syncing flawless, and the time management spot-on. The app is worth every penny, but if the price still scares you off, you can continue to use the mobile web version of Google Tasks.

Creating new categories is available in the 1.6 release. This app is now pretty much flawless - works so much better than other ones I’ve tried.
This app does a couple of things that no other todo apps can. The filtering options is extremely powerful and allows me to focus on what I have to get done right at this moment. For example I will configure, due today and tomorrow, category work, tag #computer when I’m at my computer at work. The sorting is also terrific. Most apps will allow you to only set 1 thing to sort by. What if I sort by priority and I have 10 high priority tasks, this app allows me to select a second, third etc. sort order. And I can do it by a simple drag n drop.
By the way, this review was done on an older version. The newest version is way better!
