The BeKnown Android app lets you build a network of connections specifically for business. Technically, this app is an extension of an existing Facebook app. It actually works in your Android Web browser.
Despite the Facebook tie in, you can connect with people via BeKnown even if they aren’t on the hallowed blue monster. Procuring an email address is all it takes to build a bridge.
Much liked LinkedIn, the BeKnown app creates a feed, lets you connect with a job bank, contains a custom professional profile and allows messaging via the app.
The app does need some help in the search department. There is no way to search through BeKnown jobs in the app, other than scrolling through a handful of featured positions.
Warning: this app pulls your user pic from Facebook. So try to keep it professional.

It definitely makes sense for developers to take BeKnown mobile. Networking can happen anywhere, any time. Now that the BeKnown Android app is just a click away, you can tap in to your professional network anywhere your Android has a data connection.

The app’s perpetual Facebook integration will probably help rather than hinder the app. There’s no separate log in you have to create, the app even pulls pertinent info from Facebook automatically.
Automated professional networking on the go is a good thing. That’s just common sense folks.

A simple top tab design makes navigating the BeKnown Android app a breeze.
Remember that you are using your browser to run the app. Your Android’s menu button (and usually the back button) does not help you use the app. Use onscreen controls instead.
Typical Monster.com purple rules the app. The theme is pleasantly colorful without being overwhelming. I appreciate the judicious approach to decorating their professional app.

The BeKnown Android app is free to download and use in conjunction with Facebook. I’ll be honest, if it wasn’t I’d tell you to skip it. I don’t think this app will be any real competition for LinkedIn, where I am already a happy member. But since it’s free, go ahead, get your pro on with BeKnown. What do you have to lose?
