In a modern day take on Duck Hunt, the Turkey Blast: Reloaded Android game pits you against the turkeys, mano-a-mano (or is it mano-a-turkey?), with just a shot gun and your stellar sense of aim at your disposal.
Those wily birds are most definitely on the run. It’s not a good time of year to be a turkey. Utilizing a simple tilt to aim and tap to shoot design, the game keeps track of your accuracy and pits you against the clock in a series of turkey tapping challenges.
Earn coins for your achievements. These points can be used to unlock prizes, better weapons and other boosts to help you up the caliber of your turkey hunting ways. There are over 60 unlockable items and five unique power ups.
It’s a simple, addictive game that’s seasonally appropriate, and peppered with fun extras like bonus rounds where you shoot golden turkeys. And if all that tasty fare makes your tummy grumble, never fear. It’s only a few days until Thanksgiving.
Layout & Design
Turkey Blast: Reloaded
As we mentioned earlier, playing the Turkey Blast: Reloaded Android app is as simple as tilt and touch. Thankfully there’s also a handy calibration feature that helps the app adjust to your playing style. That’s always a nice touch.
While the graphics are not mind blowing, they are clear and bright. Certainly that’s all that’s called for in this distracting game of aim. We thoroughly approve of the game’s straightforward approach. It’s just complex enough to provide a challenge but basic enough to learn navigation rapidly. That’s the perfect mix for any pick up style game.
Navigation buttons are highlighted in bold red and there are 12 different varieties of turkeys to combat. You’ll wage battle in 12 different locals, complete with unique props, blocks and more.
Overall Value
Best of all Turkey Blast: Reloaded is available free of charge. Of course, that means the app will is peppered with advertisements and other plugs to upgrade to the full version, which you are naturally welcome to do. The upgraded version with no ads costs $1.02 and is available via in-app purchase.
Even with the ads, this game is a lot of fun. It definitely put us in the mood for turkey and it’s nice to see quality seasonal apps for Android popping up.
