Not only does it offer an impressive top 25 deals of the day category, you can search for deals by store (both virtual and real), browse deals by category (a great way to find new products and gift ideas), access a data base of coupon codes for online sales, check promotional offers and access weekly circulars from a dozen different stores with just a few clicks.

Yeah, that’s a pretty impressive list of features. Of course, the app does not do the one thing we wish it would: provide a place to organize your shopping plans for Black Friday. If this app had an option to schedule your trip, map it or even create a memo about it, it would be much more valuable.

Still, it’s a great collection of deal information, and it’s all right there on your Android.

Layout & Design

Strangely enough this app is not responsive to native Android keys. It will not work with the back or menu buttons on any of our Android devices, which is a little frustrating if you’re used to using them. The app itself is a bit of a mess, with blurry graphics and a general fuzzy feeling. It seems like this app is built to deliver data, not make it pretty, and that’s exactly what it does.

It also runs a little slowly. We suggest using this app head of time instead of depending on it this Friday to avoid the urge to throw your Android against the wall in frustration.

Value

In typical deal dishing fashion the Best Black Friday Deals Android app is available free of charge. It won’t cost you a dime to access the app’s deal data base, so you really don’t have anything to lose. We think it might be a better companion for folks shopping Cyber Monday, but outside links to sales directly from the app and its access to store circulars is still pretty neat.

At the end of the day this is an app any deal dishing diva will appreciate, despite being a little rough around the edges.
