Well, in case the answer was no: It’s yes to both. And GeoCam AR Pro makes the most of both. You see, the app combines the two to allow you to take photos of your immediate surroundings, and then save the Google-powered geography information alongside it. This means that, if you’re a contractor or surveyor, you can go into the field, take a few photos of your project, and then retain the exact geographical information related to them. This is a brilliant way to do things, and it could not be simpler. Merely boot up the app, snap a photo, and the rest is done for you. The images are saved within the app, complete with miniature Google map readout. At any point in the future, you can return to your private stash to view either the photo, the map, or both. Need that exact measurement? It’s saved too. So no matter how you slice it, GeoCam AR Pro is one precisely incredible application.
Design and Layout
As stated, it’s our opinion that GeoCam AR Pro simply could not be easier to use. The camera itself is spot-on, and we had no problem using it to take our photos. We did notice that in landscape mode, the app tends to stretch out the live preview. However, this did not affect the end result, and is thus hardly a deal breaker. We also liked the finished image viewer. More importantly, though, the app comes with an entire host of customizable settings, including a logo option. If you’re working for a company that needs the app for field work, we promise you’ll be able to find a setting that meets your specific needs.
Overall Value
We’ll spin it to you this way: If you’ve been waiting for just such an app for the Android platform, then we’re willing to bet the $4.99 price tag for the PRO version of the app will hardly seem like a price at all.
