Pix Fix: Android App Review

We’ve all seen the apps that let you turn pictures blue or add goofy frames to them, but that’s just the icing on the cake. What fun are they if you haven’t captured the right shot? That’s where the Pix Fix Android app from Almalence comes in. This app takes multiple images and gives you the power to save just the ones you want. Read on to find out more about this simple yet ingenious app that makes taking pics even easier.

Pix Fix Android Apps Review

Reviewed by Valerie Lauer

With the Pix Fix Android app, you don’t have to snap pictures. The app does it automatically, starting from the moment you open it until you tap the green check in the app. If you think about it, this is an extremely smart app. No fussy enhancements, just pure, photo capture power from the get go. With Pix Fix it’s going to be much easier to capture those last second shots. And, to be honest, that’s usually what I use my phone’s camera for.

For the capture process the Pix Fix app has several adjustable settings. You can change the capture rate, ratio, quality and save location right from the app. I did miss some of the standard camera features here in the app, but future updates will include a zoom, which is my main concern. No word on the flash feature yet.

Using Pix Fix is way too simple. You open the app, and there it goes. No interaction required. I took some pretty funny pics when I started using the app before reading the description, and highly recommend waving this app around randomly to new users. The results are hilarious.

As for the other features of the app, the green check button is the only obvious one to push, so stopping your photo logging session is also pretty darn easy. Reviewing pics is a simple matter of using side arrows, although I do wish they enabled a simple scroll review ability since that’s much easier in my opinion. Each capture scene has an option to save that individual shot or save all of the shots in the series. And that’s all she wrote, other than a basic info option on the app’s main page. Although there isn’t much to the app, I really prefer it that way for clarity’s sake.

Overall Value

Pix Fix is a really cool addition to the photo apps on my Android. It already has a permanent short cut on my second home page set up. Hopefully in the future I won’t be whining about missing the shot. The app does cost $.99, which is a reasonable rate for a cool new app that you’ll actually use. While it is pretty basic, this app still kicks some tail and I highly recommend it.

  1. Cool!!! Takes photos “backwards”, saves really fast so you can capture next series right away after taking previous one.
