Sometimes a regular alarm just doesn’t help wake you up in the morning. How about an alarm that has the voice recording of your loved ones? The Sweet Alarm app from developer Jais Joy will be able to do just that for you!
Features
With Sweet Alarm you can record your friends, family, or spouse’s voices and turn it into your alarm sound. You can also utilize various android apps simultaneously to use a favorite song of yours as an alternative alarm sound. You can also have a specific text sound made into an alarm in six different languages.
When you first open up the app, you will be prompted with the following options on the bottom of the screen: “Add Alarm”, “Customize Tone”, and “Edit”. With the “Add Alarm” function you can set the desired alarm time along with snooze and repeat functions per your request. The alarm will either use the default time talking sound or use your preferred voice recording. The “Customize Tone” allows you to edit your voice recordings, text to alarm tones, system audio sounds, and your personal ring tones. The “Edit” feature allows you to delete selected alarms you have created.
This app uses speech synthesis. Thus, with some devices, you might also have download and install the SpeechSynthesis Data app (free version)

The overall appearance Sweet Alarm of is very basic. There are no fancy graphics, and the app primarily consists of font only. The app’s main background is blue, with grayscale features buttons, and small text. The text could have been made a bit larger since there is so much space available on the rest of the screen, but it is not so difficult for the average user to view. There could have been added images or graphics made on this app to make it more user appealing, but since its main function is to serve as an alarm clock, the user will just basically be using it to set up alarm times and shutting the alarm off when it is no longer needed.
Value
Since Sweet Alarm is offered free, it is not a bad deal. It has cool features such as the voice recording, and does its primary purpose well. The default time sound alarm sounds a bit creepy, but as long as you choose to record a voice or use a desired ringtone, than that feature can be overlooked. This app can cater to all ages and audiences, and can be useful in all walks of life.
