Sagan AI: Written and Video Android App Review
Concept and Functionality

Sagain AI for Android
Since it’s last cruise across our desk, Sagan AI has done little to change the concept underneath the hood, but quite a lot to improve the overall quality of the service itself. What do we mean by that? Well, we first of all mean that you can now ask Sagan AI any question that you like, and it will comb the depths of the Wolfram Alpha servers to find an answer. We like this quite a bit. Beyond that, you can now do simple things like add a quick reminder (which is a brilliant option for those in the business world) delete an app by name, turn the Wi-Fi on or off, show your missed calls, show the processes running underneath the hood, or even open an app with nothing but your voice. This is quite a step up from the rather basic voice control application we saw a few weeks back. Sagan AI still includes all of the essential calling and texting features that you’d expect and like, of course. Rather than replacing them, this update has simply updated them and added on a whole list of new voice options to pursue. And we have to admit, we like it a lot.
Design and Interface
Sagan AI is still not the prettiest application we’ve ever seen, though. We were rather vague about this last time, so we’re going to make an effort to hit it on the nail head here: The app just isn’t Siri in terms of looks. We appreciate the simplicity of accessing Siri (hold a single button) as well as the gorgeous look and appeal that it has. Sagan AI has a long way to go before it gets to this point, with its clunky popup window and awkward, balding head of a mascot. We’re still looking for an easy-to-access settings menu, as well.
Overall Value
Still, though, Sagan AI is undeniably one of the best Siri-for-Android options out there at the moment. It’s heading in all the right directions, and as more updates smooth out the chinks in its armor even more, we have ever confidence that the $0.99 you spend today will have easily been worth it come a few months down the road.

Excellent review, per usual!
The app does have voice and an update was added to check your phone to see if speech synthesis is set up. If not, will guide you for adding this.
It seems most phones do not have this set up by default. Maybe that will change with Google’s new OS that just came out.
