Simply boot up the app within your Android device and then get cracking. The process looks like this.
When you first install the app you’ll need to specify your primary language, your gender, and the gender of the people you’re looking to talk to. Then, you tell the app to look at your current location. Afterward, it starts to find nearby folks who are ready to chat. It’s that simple! If you’d like, you can also turn off location services to instead simply chat with everyone the world over. Find someone you like? Add them to your contacts list. You can also send photos and other multimedia in-app, including your current location should you like to meet-up. Next Chat even comes with an assistant that will find nearby matches based on similar interests. The latter is pretty nifty if you ask us!
Design and Interface
We have to admit, Next Chat looks pretty slick on our Android phone, to boot! It’s not the most entertaining of interfaces we’ve ever seen (Grindr is far cooler) but it will certainly do in a pinch. Not to mention the fact that we had no problem navigating the app’s menus or setting up chats with people in our area. Also, the location services worked like a champ, so you’ll not be chatting outside your area if you don’t want to. All in all, it’s a solid effort, if perhaps just not the prettiest on the planet.
