Whether you’re a PC person, a Mac-aholic, or a mobile aficionado, one thing is for certain; you’re familiar with web browsers. Usually the first programs you think of are Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, or trusty old Safari. Some of you renegades even use lesser known browsers such as Opera or Dolphin. It’s all about what works for you.

If you’re a mobile browser user, however, there’s a new choice to consider. Sleipnir Mobile, developed by Fenrir Inc, is a new browser which is dedicated to giving you the best web experience possible. This sleek and feature filled app is sure to make surfing the Web even more fun and exciting.

Concept and Functionality:

Sleipnir Mobile has already caught on with the Android community. With over 100,000 downloads and over a thousand positive reviews, it has definitely made an impact on the mobile browser niche. Even though Sleipnir Mobile takes a bit of time to get used to, it’s dead simple to use once you understand the basic functions and features.

Switching to a new browser can be tedious and nerve-wracking, but the app makes the process almost painless by allowing you to import your bookmarks from other browsers. This is definitely a plus, and it helps you feel more at home with the app right from the start.

If you use a smartphone, chances are you’re used to interacting with your device via touchscreen. Sleipnir Mobile allows you to operate pages using the power of gestures. Also, tabbed browsing is taken to a whole new level through groups.

If you’re a fan of saving and sharing, Sleipnir Mobile is extremely versatile. You can save pages to read later via popular sites like Readability, Instapaper, and Pocket, and you can share pages through almost all of the popular social networking sites. If you’re an avid RSS subscriber, Google Reader is integrated into the browser so you can easily access your feeds. Lastly, a unique feature is the ability to save pages to your Dropbox folder, Evernote, or SkyDrive.

Even though you might be familiar with tabbed browsing, you’ve never known organization until you’ve met the grouping function of Sleipnir Mobile. This is perfect for users who are multitaskers because it allows you to keep track of pages based on topic.

How many times have you tried to close a browser tab and accidentally deleted an important page? I know I’ve done it too many times, and it’s a welcome sight to see a feature such as protected tabs in Sleipnir Mobile. It’s as easy as double-tapping a tab to protect them from an untimely elimination.

Another stellar feature is the ability to add extensions to Sleipnir Mobile. This makes for an even richer and more personalized browsing experience.

The browser also keeps track of the sites you visit the most, so you can quickly check your favorite pages. You can download files, search inside pages, and view sites in full-screen. One of the features I tend to use is page display mode, which allows you to disable mobile browsing in case you experience issues with certain sites.

Also, you can sync bookmarks and other information across multiple devices (including PC and Mac) using Fenrir Pass, which is a free cloud service. This is perfect for users who are a fan of continuity between devices.

Lastly, recent updates to the app have added features such as the ability to save tabs for offline browsing and a built in ad-blocker. Both of these features require Android 3.0+.

Value:

What’s not to love about a browser that has almost every feature you could want? Not only that, but Sleipnir is available for every major operating system. If you’re looking for a browser that is packed with features and thrives on functionality, I definitely encourage you to give Sleipnir Mobile a try.
