Over the years, we’ve seen more than our fair share of new social media “revolutions.” In fact, we sometimes think we’ve seen more than just about anyone else alive. We mention this only to prove our credentials: When it comes to concepts that claim to be innovative, we’re pretty good at sifting out the rubbish from the quality. With that in mind, we’re just chuffed to bits to be introducing you to Wozityou. The app actually supports an inventive concept, and one that can potentially widen your friend circle—or even help you meet that special someone. Concept and Functionality

Wozityou for Android

The idea behind Wozityou is not exactly new, though it’s more of a conglomeration of several different social concepts into one tight package—more than it is a direct clone, at the least. In essence, the app allows you to see who is around you at your current location, and then “spot” them in-app to introduce yourself. This means you can be out at a club—or anywhere else for that matter—find someone inside the app, and then spot them when you . . . well, spot them.

After this, you can send messages back and forth to each other as often as you like, and completely for free. In this way, the app is sort of like Grindr, though with slightly more security. You can also see more information about the person, such as their Facebook and Twitter updates, their likes, the number of times they’ve been spotted, etc. In this way, you get a lot more information than most similar applications, and all within that aforementioned snuggly-safe package. It’s a solid concept, and one that we genuinely believe would play out well in the wild. That’s not something we say often, either.

Graphics and Design

Best of all, the app happens to look pretty fantastically gorgeous on both the iPhone and Android. The interface is slick, sleek and easy to navigate, as it should be. The simplistic layout ensures that everything is immediately at-hand when you need it. Furthermore, the direct integration with other social media outlets is a tremendous boon. Lastly, we have yet to encounter any bugs or errors within the app’s GPS capabilities. This is more of a concern than you might think with these sorts of titles. All in all, it’s a solid performance and one that looks good.

Overall Value

Did we mention that Wozityou is free? If not, we’re doing so now. The app won’t cost you two pence, and it may yet potentially increase your friend circle. Overall, the app is a fantastic way to meet new people at the places you attend, and with security. It’s a solid entry into the field, and as its user base grows, we can only assume that Wozityou will grow with it.
