If you’re tired of all that noise, then boy have we got a recommendation for you. The app is called Cabbage, from Coupon s.r.o., and it’s a phenomenal way to avoid all the pain and struggle of that traveling experience.

Concept and Functionality
Cabbage for Android
Essentially, the idea behind the Cabbage experience looks like this: What if you could type in your destination, use your current location, and then be served up a list of nearby drivers? These driver profiles would have recommendations, prices (with no hidden fees) and tit-bits of information about them as people. It’d be a great way to find a match for your travel needs, whether social or financial. And without exception, that’s exactly what you’ll find here with Cabbage!
The app allows anyone to sign up to be a driver, which means you’ll get a mix of professionals, as well as people like you and me just looking to make a few quick bucks.
The end results can be quite fun, and are certainly a step up from the standard cab driving experience. And keep in mind, if you have some spare time on the week-ends and want to give this show a go yourself, you can always do so.
Truly, this is a great concept, and one so deliciously good we’re surprised it hans’t surfaced before.
Design and Interface
All in all, Cabbage is starting off on the right foot. The interface is solid if not awesome, and all of the functionality is quickly and easily presented to the user. That being said, we can’t wait until the application has been polished enough that it shines like Twitter, FourSquare or Instagram. We want to see smooth animations, beautiful colours, and a level of polish reserved for concepts that are this good. And that’s the crux of it: Cabbage is going to last, based on the idea alone. It’ll only be a matter of time before the kinks are ironed out.
Overall Value
And at the end of the day, it’s hard to beat the value of an application that’s completely free. If you’re intrigued by the concept—whether you’re intending to be a rider or a driver—we highly recommend the Cabbage experience. It’s a solid one, and as time rolls on, it can only improve.
