Storm (Live Wallpaper)
Android App Review by AndroidAppsReview.com
We don’t usually review static applications, but int he case of Storm (Live Wallpaper), we’re going to make an exception. Why? Well, mostly because we have a soft spot for live wallpapers to begin with. After all, it is what makes Android so cool—the freedom of customization, that is. But also because of the quality that Storm (Live Wallpaper) represents.
It’s free, constantly being updated, and chock full of cool lightning-powered moments. And for our full review, you need only to slide on down below the break!
Concept and Functionality

Storm Live Wallpaper for Android
So what are you getting with Storm (Live Wallpaper)? Well, if you couldn’t tell by the title of the app—which is a wallpaper for your springboard, by the by—mostly a whole lot of lightning.
Yes, you’ll get an entire roster of images from all around France and Switzerland. These will flash in and out in-between a black screen, creating the effect of lightning.
Keep in mind, this is not a full 3D animation, but rather a collection of stills. Is it as impressive? Not quite, but the authenticity is certainly appreciated. In fact, the author of the app actually took quite a few of the photographs contained within Storm (Live Wallpaper).
That’s cool for a number of reasons, but mostly we enjoy it because of the promise it holds: If you enjoy what’s here now, Storm (Live Wallpaper) is one of the very few live wallpapers we can think of offering regular updates. In fact, we can’t say we’ve seen any others, much less ones produced by the author.
That’s a lot of value and a lot of potential wrapped up in a small package. Best of all, this isn’t crowdsourced imagery, but homebrewed stuff, too.
Design and Layout
What can we say, the design of Storm (Live Wallpaper) is exactly what we’d expect from a wallpaper. It’s easy to install and setup, while the benefits are all but instantaneous!
The photographs here contained really are quite stunning, which is not something we usually expect from something as hard to document as lightning. Aside from this, it’s hard to dock the application any points in this department, so let’s move on to the more noteworthy value section!
Overall Value
If you didn’t check the price before reading, Storm (Live Wallpaper) is completely free. That’s an incredible value, especially for those with a hankering for a bit more storm on their phone.
We love the fact that the photos are locally grown, and that updates are continuing to come down the pipes. It’s clear the developer has a passion for the material, and we hoe that’s only delved into deeper as time rolls on.
Overall, Storm (Live Wallpaper) isn’t our favorite live wallpaper, but it’s certainly one for the books. Keep it on record!
