Bubbles Galaxy
Android Game Review by AndroidAppsReview.com
Bubbles Galaxy, developed by +CEKY+, is an addicting puzzle game for Android that will have you bursting bubbles like crazy. This entertaining strategy game demands quite a bit of patience and is fairly challenging, but it’s very fun to play.
Concept and Gameplay
Nothing is better than a challenging puzzle game that sucks you in and won’t let you go until you either hit a level that’s too challenging to complete or you finish the game.
Bubbles Galaxy is the type of game to do just that, and the best part is that you won’t regret a single minute of gameplay. Though the game might feel familiar, it’s mostly unlike anything else I’ve played.
The idea behind Bubbles Galaxy is to strategically work your way through 25 levels of bubble popping goodness. There are three different colors of bubbles to work with: black, red, and green.
Black bubbles send out projectiles in four different directions (up, down, left, and right) when tapped or contacted by another bubble’s projectile. Red bubbles release projectiles vertically, and green bubbles release projectiles horizontally.
Armed with this knowledge and a fair amount of patience, your goal is to clear the screen of bubbles in the fewest moves possible. Once you’ve popped all of the bubbles on the screen, you’re free to move on to the next level.
Bubbles Galaxy is a very pleasant combination of great graphics, cute sound effects, and an original gameplay design. While it might seem like I place a high emphasis on difficulty, the game isn’t terribly hard to play once you get the hang of it.
Naturally some levels are harder than others, and I did find it frustrating that the game wouldn’t let you continue even when there was only one bubble left on the screen. I’d rather take the hit in points than spend 10 minutes trying to destroy one remaining bubble.
Lastly, I found it rather odd that Bubbles Galaxy includes a star based scoring system when you have no choice but to earn three stars in order to move on.
Features
Bubbles Galaxy features 25 levels of bubble popping goodness with more levels on the way. Personally I’d love to see different bubble themes added for future levels, as the same sound effects and bubble characters tend to get repetitive after a while.
Social players will love the fact that Bubbles Galaxy includes a leaderboard that you can use as long as you’re connected with the third-party score tracking program.
Whether or not you choose to create an account with said third-party program doesn’t affect gameplay, which is always great news for those who don’t want to do so.
Value
Bubbles Galaxy can be downloaded from Google Play for free and is supported by ads at the bottom of the screen. Thankfully the ads don’t get in the way of gameplay, but I can honestly say that the game would certainly be worth $0.99 if the developers decided to release an ad free version of Bubbles Galaxy.
Overall, this is a great game that’s truly a pleasure to play and is perfect for anyone who’s looking for a new puzzle challenge.
Bubbles Galaxy requires Android 2.2+. A small expedite fee was paid to speed up the publication of this review.
You can download it from Google Play.
