Are you the kind of person that likes to gamble on the go? Need a bit more poker action than you can get at your regular, physical tables. If that’s the case, then you might want to start looking into a mobile poker app like 888poker.
The app has a lot of perks, as well as a gorgeous interface and a thriving community, making it perhaps one of the better options to look into. If you’re interested in learning more, and want to know what the catch is, then you’ll find our whole review below. Starting with:
Concept and Functionality
As our subtitle above says, if you’re looking for a whole lot of poker action, you’d be hard-pressed to do better than 888poker in terms of raw functionality.
The app has . . . well, a lot to pick from. You’ll get a variety of rules and table variations here, as well as the choice to play for cash, for practice, or in whole tournaments.
Its developers themselves also sponsor tournaments that you can join from time to time for a chance at winning (very) large sums of money. It’s all great fun, and if you’ve got a good handle on poker, all the basic stuff is here.
You’ll have to know how to call, check, fold and the like, but we’re guessing you’ve got that covered.
If you need a little bit more action in your life, you can also bet on sports events: 888poker of course is your bookie. And when you’re ready to cash-in or cash-out, you can do that from your 888 account using a variety of payment methods.

More on that in a second, but first let’s look at the app’s looks.
Design and Interface
We’re going to start this off rather sugary, as we feel we should: 888 Poker looks phenomenal, and has a brilliant, vibrant interface.
The graphics are pleasant, the color scheme indicative of the poker theme, and overall, we enjoy what we’re getting here.
That being said, we have a few major complaints. First of all, this is not an officially supported Google Play Store app. That means you’ll have to go out of your way to get it, and we’re hesitant to recommend any additional installation methods to our users.
Furthermore, we are hearing complaints from other users that cashing out can be a might bit harder than the developers might like you to believe. We are not hearing this about adding money.
Take all of this to mean what you will, but either way 888poker is one of the largest poker utilities, and rightly so based on interface alone.
Overall Value
To wrap it all up like a Christmas present, the app is free, comes with $88 free on the nose, has a great interface, and perhaps minimal risk.
If you’re really into poker on the go, we highly doubt you’ll be disappointed with what’s here. If you’re hesitant to go for it, though, we’d understand as well.
Either way, 888poker looks solid, and you will certainly get some poker action out of it.
