It’s a weird part of my job, and I’m not sure why it happens, but for whatever reason I order and track a ton of packages. And I mean whole loads. With this in mind, I track just as many items on my Android phone.
I’ve used several different apps over the years, and to date, Parcelle, from Softbears, is perhaps the best I have ever seen. It has a number of unique perks and features that put it head and shoulders above its competitors.

Concept and Functionality
So what does Parcelle do, exactly? Well, for those who haven’t heard of other apps like “Parcel,” it fulfills a very similar role. It allows you to enter tracking numbers for a variety of mailing services, and then track their progress as they head towards their ultimate destination.
This means you can ensure your items are heading in the right direction, tracking at the proper rate, and even arriving when they should.
For instance, let’s say you’ve ordered your girlfriend a nice present, and you don’t want her to see the box. Parcelle will automatically update you when a new progression has been met. When that package hits your doorstep, you’ll be the first to know.

It’s very handy, and one of the parts we liked most was the option to track our packages on a physical map. I personally found it fascinating to watch my purchases crawl or shoot across the country, city to city.
And of course, getting regular updates is a definite perk for those of us that tend to worry about these things. All in all, it’s a splendid concept made simple and solid.
Design and Interface
On the surface, Parcelle is no more entertaining or interesting than any of its other competitors. That is to say, it’s an handsome application, but perhaps not one that might be totally distinguishable from any other.
Thankfully, it’s what’s under the hood that matters: and boy does Parcelle pack a punch! It not only allows you to track domestic packages within the US / CA / MX, it also enables you to track packages overseas.
Seriously, there’s no carrier this app can’t handle. I send a lot of personal items back and forth between the United Kingdom and the United States, making this app an invaluable addition to my pocket. I know when my friends receive packages. How intense is that?
Overall Value
At the end of the day, Parcelle is perhaps the best free package tracking option we have seen.
Sure, you can do all of this individually from your computer using the carrier’s site. But why bother when you can have all of this functionality in a single application in your pocket? We can’t think of a reason why, which is why Parcelle is such an easy recommendation.
