Set a Sutra - Kama Sutra&Music
Android App Review by AndroidAppsReview.com
Alright, dear readers, there’s no good way to be delicate about today’s review of Set a Sutra—and I’m not very good at being delicate to begin with—so without further ado, I’ll say this: Set a Sutra, from Wevelopers, is one of the better ways I’ve seen recently to spice up your love life with nothing but your Android phone.
In fact, I can’t remember the last time any Android app helped me do that, so hats off the developers for that. The title gives you the option to load up your own custom playlists, and then it will provide you with the rest of the inspiration. For more detail, head on down below the break!
Concept and Functionality
The core idea behind Set a Sutra as mentioned, is really pretty simple: The whole application is based on the Kama Sutra, which for those that don’t already own one, is sort of like the Indian Holy Bible for sexual positions. It’s existed for several thousand years, and is a well-worn staple in homes spanning the ages.
Set a Sutra makes the most of this by combining ye olden wisdom and new fangled technology. Here, you’ll get the option to load up your favorite tracks into the application in the form of playlists. Then, you simply hit “Go!” and away the app rolls! It’ll guide you through a variety of sexual positions on the fly, changing them as it goes to keep the interest alive.
Each entry comes with an illustration (We wouldn’t necessarily call it NSFW, though) as well as instructions, which trust me, you’ll want. Beyond that, the rest is up to you, buddy! And presumably someone else, we suppose. But either way, it’s descriptive, enlightening, and a fair amount of fun—we hope, that is.
Design and Interface
Unlike the Kama Sutra itself, though, Set a Sutra isn’t necessarily pushing any boundaries in simplified grace and elegance. Granted, it’s not a terrible looking application. However, it’s still a bit rough around the edges, especially in that it uses crude illustrations rather than real models to demonstrate its positions.
Speaking of positions, there are only 20 here, which is a bit scanty compared to the tome massive amount contained within the original work. Then again, you may not need more than that at the moment!
Overall Value
We’ll put it to you this way: Set a Sutra is completely free in the Google Play Store, and there’s a whole lot of sexually satisfying value here for that price tag. It’s not a bad deal, and though we have our soft complaints with the application itself, it’s not the worst sex-oriented title we’ve seen on the Android platform. In fact, you could easily do a whole lot worse. With that in mind, Set a Sutra still gets our recommendation.
Set a Sutra requires Android 2.3+ and up. A small expedite fee was paid to speed up the publication of this review.
