FootieQuiz.co.uk is a very popular website that let’s you to take part in football (soccer for our US readers) quizzes in a very innovative way.
Thousands of football enthusiasts across the globe participate in it and also submit questions to be answered by the other fellow members. It has a very lively community that indulges itself everyday with different type of quizzes across various topics.
The growing proportion of this community is getting bigger over time.
They have recently launched an Android app called FootieQuiz that has made it possible to play it on the go. This review will make an overview of the app and how it works.
Built Quality:
This app is an optimization of the website a couple of features added to the existing ones you would find there.
The overall design of this app keeps it simple and easy to navigate. In face, I think you’ll find it easier to operate than the website itself. It is not cluttered with superfluous information and it shows only what you are required to see.
The home screen can be seen with big tiles with unique icons that take you to different sections of this app. It has been built quite properly by doing justice to the fact that it’s a quiz app.
All the options and tabs are pretty self explanatory and one would not run into difficulty in operating the app.

Features and How It Works:
On opening, it shows the log in page where the existing users can log in by giving their user names and passwords. After logging in, the account will automatically be synchronized with this app.
New accounts can be created right from there by providing the Facebook and Twitter credentials or new users can simply tap on Create Account. It involves you with a short slidable guide as to how to use this app at the very beginning just for once, which was very helpful.
You can take on endless sets of five questions from your favorite topic by taping on the NEW tab on the top right corner of the career page. At the bottom, by tapping on RECENT and STATUS, your recent quizzes and current status can be seen respectively.
As said earlier, this app has added some limited features which you won’t find in the website. It lets you to challenge anyone you like by taping on the Challenge title on the home screen.
It pairs you with an individual that you select from the various options available as shown in the image. After selecting your opponent, you play your turn. Once you give answer to all the five questions, it sends him/her a request to take his/her turn. Once you both finish, the status can be seen on the Challenge section.
This is a pretty interesting thing which would make FootieQuiz more popular than it is on the website.
It has a dedicated settings tile that helps you to manage sound alerts, Twitter syncs and Push notification which notifies you when you have a new Challenge request.
The feedback section enables you to rate the app, send e-mail, send advertise request and submit football questions. The more you submit questions the better you have the opportunity to increase your Stamina. But all of these take the help of your device’s browser.
Other features like profile, career mode, achievements, Facebook and Twitter sharing, all remain same as that of the website and all of them are divided into an easy-to-navigate design.
Overall Value:
This is a pretty nice app of its kind. It’s a free application that you can download from Google Play and the services are also free. I would recommend this app very strongly.
Pros: Nice user interface. Smart presentation of the Competitive information, a nice improvement over the website.
Con: The screen that connects you to the Facebook for posting the quiz result has a little flaw; the Twitter icon appears instead of Facebook’s.
FootieQuiz requires Android 2.3.3 and up. A small expedite fee was paid to speed up the publication of this review.
