Vehicles Coloring Book Free, developed by TheColor.com, is packed full of awesome things to color. Whether your child is into airplanes, monster trucks, or even tanks, this is an app that definitely shouldn’t be overlooked.

Concept and Functionality

With 150 different coloring sheets, it’s hard to imagine ever getting bored with Vehicles Coloring Book Free. There are a ton of different vehicles to choose from, which means this coloring book app should cater to a variety of interests.

To use Vehicles Coloring Book Free, simply select which picture you’d like to color. If it sounds incredibly simple, that’s because it is! This isn’t a negative thing, though, because it means kids can spend less time muddling through a clunky interface and more time coloring pictures of cool vehicles.

If 150 vehicles isn’t enough to make the app sound like the idea digital coloring book, Vehicles Coloring Book Free also includes a staggering variety of crayon colors.

Sliding the crayon selection bar left and right allows kids to find the perfect color for their picture. Once a crayon is selected, simply tap on the desired area of the coloring sheet; the app does the rest.

The only issue I had with Vehicles Coloring Book Free is the background music in the app. I can’t really explain what it sounds like, but it certainly doesn’t fit the atmosphere of the app. It’s almost like a techno-y dance beat. Either way, I don’t think it’s something that is suited for a children’s coloring book app. However, there’s a handy mute button that will turn the music off.

Features

Vehicles Coloring Book Free offers a few useful features that enhance the overall coloring book experience, mainly the ability to easily zoom in on pictures for those spots that are difficult to tap.

Users can double tap to zoom, use pinch to zoom, or use the handy magnifying glass button. Personally I recommend double tapping or the button, as pinch to zoom usually led to unwanted coloring in different areas of the picture.

The only feature I wish VCBF included is the ability to save finished sheets within the app instead of having to immediately share them. While it’s fairly easy to just save the finished coloring page to your device, a child on a mission to color as many pictures as he or she can will eventually clutter up the device.

Value

VCBF can be downloaded for free from Google Play, which is very surprising considering the sheer number of pictures that can be colored. Overall, I definitely recommend it for anyone who is looking for a very inexpensive (and non-messy) way to keep their child entertained.
